lexander-Otto Company, LLC was formed in 1996. The original founding partners were Chilton Alexander and Doug Otto. They developed a reputation in the industry for quality installations and superior customer service. They were one of the first companies in the industry to recognize the need to build the company around regional employee based crews, versus a trend among their competitors of using third party subcontractors for national projects.
The company grew substantially in the first nine years and attracted the attention of Marmon Retail Services (www.marmonretailservices.com), a business sector of The Marmon Group (www.marmon.com). MRS was looking for an installation company to complement the services offered by its other companies. In July, 2005 the company was purchased by MRS.
Chilton now serves as President and Doug is the VP of Operations, thus ensuring a seamless transition in management. With the financial backing of the Marmon Group, which reported nearly $7 billion in revenue in 2006, AO is now well positioned to continue to grow into the future.
